Daily Vegas
Well, I could tell you all about our crazy day here, but I think Squishy will sum this one up the best...
You see, today my usually sweet happy little man, was the BIGGEST crab ever. I mean throwing himself on the floor, not wanting to be held, but wanting me to hold him (confused me too!), sobbing crying. The day started out fine, but by the time nap time rolled around he went from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds flat. Now if you know Squish, you know that sure he cries, but he has NEVER been the sobbing, jagged breathing, (you know the kind with the big sniffles and sighs), just plain Un-happy kind of baby. Even sick he isn't normally like that. So when he started doing it, and then continued to do it for over an hour without anything seeming to help, I was pretty frustrated at not being able to help my son. Finally he went down for his nap, and I just chalked it up to sleep-fighting, and over-tiredness. But when he woke up in the same mood, and didn't stop for a good 30 minutes, I was on the phone to my mom.
Me: Help, Squishy is freaking and I don't know why!
Her: Did you look him over for an injury you had maybe missed.
Me: Nope, not it.
Her: What about poop? Has he pooped today?
Me: Yes, three times, all normal looking.
Her: Could he be sick? (This is when I about fell out!)
Me: Sick! Again, he just got better, I swear if he is sick I don't know what I am going to do, everyone keeps telling me he is sick all the time, I try to keep him healthy, I don't know what I am doing wrong, this sick thing is going drive me up a wall!! (Yes, I know that was a run-on sentence, but I don't think I took a breath while talking that whole time!)
(Cue Squishy's fake cough)
Her: Has he been doing that a lot?
Me: Well, yeah. More since the stomach flu thing... it's fake thought. What if he has a sore throat, have you looked in his throat?
Me: I guess I will try that. Thanks Mom.
Her: Sorry I am not more help.
Me: No, you are just perfect. Love you! Bye.
So after I lay the little man down, pin his arms down (there isn't another way in his mouth...) and get the flashlight (with the help of my SIL)... Guess what I found??!!
A MONSTERoops I mean, A MOLAR!! Sneaky little bugger! It was a top one, and the bottoms have been swollen for weeks, but the top ones looked normal. A little orajel and some Tylenol, and this Squish was back to his normal self...
(Still kicking myself for missing that...)
So much so, that we learned he can now push his playpen around the room... strong little bugger! I guess it is a good thing I am about to swap out the dining room, and play area. I don't think this play yard would have made it much longer as is. (It is getting anchored to the wall in the dining room.)
Finally, Kim over at Chubby Cheeks Thinks totally started my day off right by sweetly passing on not one, but all three of these awards to me! They came to her as a three pack, and from one smart multi-tasking mom to another, I am going to be the third mama in the line-up to pass this three pack on!
We are supposed to share 7 things about ourselves, but as you may remember I HATE odd numbers, so I am going with 6...
Forget Team Edward, I am jumping ship and going Team Eric!
(Yes, I still love my hubby with all my heart and he knows about my silly crush, I guess I just have a thing for the Swedes!)
2. I can't stand Mayo, or most creamy sauces for that matter....
3. My current favorite color is green, but all-time favorite is blue.
4. My husband and I met online.
5. I love cake! Especially lemon cake with chocolate buttercream.
6. Dang it! Now I want some cake...
Passing on the love...
The Tale of Going Natural (There is some serious sass to this one!)
A Ruffle in Time (Her etsy shop is ADORABLE!)
Lucas's Journey with Sensory Processing Disorder (her thoughtfulness of others is super sweet!)
Our Happy Home (I don't think I have read a post from her I haven't enjoyed yet!)
Making Memories with the McClellans (A newer read for me, but a great blog!)
As you all should know by now, I am somewhat new into the world of public blogging. There are a few women who have gone out of their way to help me out with a question, or gaining momentum, or simply a nice comment. So I decided to make an award of my own (cause I am cheesy like that). Pass it on to those bloggers who make your day, or help you out. And thanks mamas!

Poor little man and his toofers. Those molars are just evil! Glad a little gel and meds made him right as rain again!
