Guest Blogger #2 ~ Kim@Chubby Cheeks Thinks

Today’s Guest Blogger was actually my inspiration to get the whole Guest Blogging thing a go. You may or may not know that I have only been blogging publicly (before then it was just a family and friend thing...) for about 2.5 months now. When I made the choice to move my blog public and give the whole writing thing a go, Kim at Chubby Cheeks was one of the first blogs I found myself going back to again and again. I loved her mix of reviews, giveaways, and personal posts. When I saw her post asking for guest bloggers, I responded and an (e)friendship was born. Although I suspect if we knew each other in real life we would be fast friends too! She was so nice, and answered a lot of basic blogging questions I had. She always has a word of encouragement, not to mention she make some beautiful children!! So without further ado, here is Kim!

Tell me about yourself and your family:
I'm Kim! I'm a 26 year old stay at home mom of two beautiful babies, Riley (2 years old) and Emma (7 months old)! I have the world's greatest husband ever, Kyle! He seriously is the only guy that I think could put up with all of my crap! LOL He is super nice but can put me in my place when I need it. We mesh well and I think that is what matters! I just recently decided that we are going to homeschool and I'm really excited about it even though it isn't for a couple more years (unless I start early). I have been working on some crafty cute things so I can open my own online shop soon! I love making things but never really considered selling them because I was always worried they wouldn't be perfect. Then I realized that is what is so great about handmade items! They are one of a kind!

What made you start blogging?
I found all of these awesome giveaway blogs and had so much fun entering! When I started winning a lot, I realized that I wanted the joy of letting others win since it is such a great feeling! So I started my own! It took off so fast that it was kind of a shock! I'm still playing catch up! LOL It is so much fun but very time consuming! I have to find a way to manage my time better! LOL

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
VERY SPONTANEOUS! Seriously! My hubby moved in with me after three days, we bought a house after 8 months, got pregnant in 13 months, got pregnant AGAIN 9 months after our first was born, decided one day that we should get married, got married 3 days later at the courthouse, and here we are 4 years later! LOL Definitely a busy couple of years! Vacations are the same way! We wake up and think "We should go on a trip"! A couple hours later we are packed and on the road! If we think too much about something we will never do it.

Name three things you really like to do?

1. Sleep! Sounds simple but with 2 kids under 3, sleep is rare!
2. Make pretty things! I love to sew, glue, bake, and so much more! If I can create something pretty it makes me happy (have you seen my children?)!
3. Reading to my children. This is the only time they both sit still and are quiet and I love watching them listen to me read. I remember being a child and my mom reading to me and they are my favorite memories!

What is your least favorite household chore?
Dusting my faux wood blinds! OMG! I want to stab my eyes out with forks every time I have too. They are very dusty by the way and I refuse to clean them! They are cherry wood so you can see the mounds of dust! It's horrible but anyone that has them knows what I'm talking about!

Who in your life influences you the most?
My children. When I had them, my whole life changed. The person that I was completely disappeared and a new person was created. I think about my actions more and make sure my choices are going to have a positive outcome so I never feel like I disappoint them! They are my new life and I love this life better than my old one!
